The Purple Helmet Honor Guard is a dedicated group of volunteers who work to maximize grass root support and directly administer programs funded and developed by Terri O’Connell’s Purple Helmet Initiative. PHHG works on behalf of the foundation as advocates for victims and their families.
Our efforts are driven to meet two key and important goals:
1. To provide funding (goal of $200,000 by May 1, 2023 and $555,000 by December 25, 2023) for marketing, special fund-raising events and safety support for victims of Bullying, Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse.
2. To establish community outreach programs that will further improve the lives of victims and their families (serve a minimum of 1,000 victims in need)
Launching in 2023 and looking forward to our first full year as an organization and we are focused on achieving several dynamic milestones.
The Purple Helmet Honor Guard will be establishing the executive leadership team, launching our social media presence, driving our initial “buddy to buddy, sister to sister” program that gets friends, neighbors and business associates directly involved with all aspects of the purple Helmet Initiative.
Our two year business plan is creating a solid foundation for us to build upon.
Now, in order to serve as many people as possible, we are welcoming with open arms new members that share the same passion we do by making a difference in the lives of Victims of Bullying, Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse.
Our current members have committed to at least two years of financial support, in addition to lending their skills, leadership and compassion to affecting positive change and safety to these in need victims.
Annual dues of $1000 per member are matched by the foundation and then pooled to ensure that the Purple Helmet Honor Guard will have significant impact well beyond what any one member could do alone. Furthermore, each member votes on programs to fund – ensuring that they have a direct impact on how their contribution will be used. The results look to be significant both domestically and globally!
For the first year, PHI is intent in granting $250,000 to worthy programs throughout the United States.
We are excited and honored to offer a new Associate Membership program for anyone who has an interest in philanthropy and community service but may not be able to meet the current financial commitment. Associate Members will be between the ages of 18-40 and pledge their support of $250 for one year. Additionally, Associate Members are expected to commit to 25 service hours to the Purple Helmet Honor Guard. We feel strongly this program will allow a new and committed generation of philanthropists to join our efforts in making a difference for victims and their families of Bullying, Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse.
We hope you will join us. To find out more about becoming a member or how you can help, please contact membership here on the PHI site!
All the best,
Roger Brehm
